Nadia joins CHIR as a analysis fellow. Her analysis will concentrate on state and federal insurance policies associated to shock billing, well being fairness measures, and state efforts to ascertain a public possibility.
Previous to becoming a member of CHIR, Nadia labored as a legislative aide for the Maine State Senate Democrats, the place she promoted well being coverage laws (together with measures to cut back prescription drug prices and broaden postpartum care), helped shepherd Mainers’ entry to unemployment insurance coverage throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and coordinated with advocates and members of the governor’s administration to enact payments into legislation. Earlier than working in state authorities, Nadia was a discipline organizer. She campaigned to assist elect Maine’s first lady governor, who expanded Medicaid within the state throughout her first day in workplace.
Nadia holds a grasp’s diploma in public coverage from the Georgetown College McCourt Faculty of Public Coverage.
